Highlights: Biking through Djerdap National Park (Iron Gate), Tuman monastery, "footsteps" of Milos Obilic, boat cruise

Take a bike ride throughout the picturesque Djerdap National park and have an active day outside of Belgrade!

We start from Golubac square, where we take bicyicles and other cycling equipment. Departure to the Tuman monestary. Cycling rute: strong climb first 300m (bicycles can be pushed) then we ride towards the monestary the next 9km. The rest of the road is flat. The whole cycling route is an paved road and there is little traffic. The first three kilometers of the road are situated next to the fields, while other six km are through the woods.

According to the tradition, the whole area we ride through were feudal poses of the Milos Obilic– the greatest Serbian medieval hero. After one hour of cycling we arrive to the medieval monastery Tuman. We park our bikes, refresh ourselves on the  spring nearby and continue walking along the forest trail. The rise is slight. After 1 km of walking, we arrive to the cave, where, according to the legend, lived Saint Zosim. We visit the cave and the medicinal spring of the Saint Zosim and return to the monastery church. We enter the church and bow to the grave of Saint Zosim and Saint Jakov. We have 15 minutes to visit the chucrh, to pray and to buy candals and souvenirs.
 

Finally, we make a 30 minutes break in monastery hospices to refresh ourselves and to visit the mini zoo. Return to Golubac by bicycles. Lunch is organized in the fisherman village/restaurant near the Danube river or in Monastery.

There is a possibility for boat ride on the Danube river near Golubac fortress (around 45 min).
