ITINERARY
Day 1. Uvac lake
Play to the rhythm of the Dinarides!
Departure from Belgrade in the morning, drive on the highway through Čačak to Zlatar. Cruise on Uvac lake 2h, hike tour to the peak of the canyon 1.5h - enjoy the view over the meanders and fly of the griffon vultures. Late lunch/dinner break at the lakeside restaurant. Overnight Zlatar mountain.
The special nature reserve "Uvac" is a natural asset of exceptional importance, i.e. natural good of the I category. It is located in southwestern Serbia within the Starovlaško - Raška highlands. It is surrounded by the mountains Zlatar, Murtenica, Čemernica, Javor and Jadovnik and covers an area of 7543 hectares. Main attraciton of reserve are 3 lakes, canyon with meanders, several limestone caves and griffon vulture. Uvac is home to 219 plant species, 187 bird species and 24 fish species.
Day 2. Djrudjevica Tara and Black Lake (Mountain Eyes)
The blow of nature!
After breakfast check out and transfer to Montenegro and Durmitor National park 3h with photo stop at Djurdjevica Tara bridge - the deepest canyon of Europe.
The Tara River has molded the limestone through which it has run for centuries, resulting in a magnificent canyon marked by steep gorges, massive boulders, and gaping crevices! The shores are steep, and the area is densely forested. Trees over 50 meters tall and over 450 years old can be seen in the Crna Poda complex, a rare, primeval black pine forest. Adventure seekers will have chance to try Zip line over the canyon! We will come back to this river a few days later to experience one of the best raftings in Europe.
Arrival to Zabljak, walk of about half an hour to the Black Lake, over which the peak of Medjed rises and in the clear water of the lake, optionally a walking tour around the lake (about an hour). After touring the lake, we will realx in the pure nature ssurroundings. Overnight Zabljak.
Day 3. Durmitor South ring and Piva
Breakfast, check oui atn set off on a photo safari Durmtor "South Ring". This is one of the most impressive panoramic routes in the region. Discover the unique untouched landscape in the north of Montenegro. A photo safari tour about 50 km from Žabljak to Plužine awaits us, where you will enjoy the fascinating nature of the Durmitor National Park and the Piva Nature Park.
We explore: Pošćenski kraj, Sedlo (one of the symbols of Durmitor), one of the most beautiful mountain peaks Prutaš (adorned with gentle ridge lines, green mountain sides, wonderful sloping layers "rods"after which it was named), Vojinovice and Pišce, Piva Lake.
Arrival in Plužine, lunch by the lake and accommodation. Optional kayaking or cruising on Piva Lake, swimming in the summer months.
4. Rafting Tara
Adrenaline rush!
The third day is reserved for real adrenaline pleasure - rafting adventure.
After breakfast we drive for about half an hour towards Šcepan Polje, cross into Bosnia and Herzegovina and after a few minutes drive we arrive at our camp. We leave our things in the accommodation and enter the neoprene suits and borrow other rafting equipment, we take a local transfer to Brstanovica and the adventure can begin! About 20km of exciting rafting on the river Tara where we will awaken the adrenaline and enjoy the untouched nature of the canyon, with occasional breaks for refreshments and swimming. After rafting we return to the camp for lunch and spend the rest of the day on vacation by the river. Dinner and socializing with music.
Day 5. Perućica - the best preserved rainforest in Europe
Call of the Wild!
Breakfast and departure to Tjentište until 10 am. Departure by off-road vehicles to the Beskita lookouts and Dragoš saddle. A tour of the lookouts for about 40 minutes.
Accompanied by a guide, he heads to the Perućica rainforest, the best-preserved rainforest in Europe. It's through Perućica allowed passage only accompanied by a guide from the National Park "Sutjeska". Walking to the waterfall The grasshopper located in the heart of the rainforest lasts for an hour and a half. Arrival to the waterfall, taking photos. Since only the laws of nature rule in the rainforest, yes the life cycle birth - life - dying, depends exclusively on nature and not on man, we come across a large number fallen tall trees and some examples are over 60 meters high. The return from the Skakavac waterfall to Dragoš sedla, where we parked off-road vehicles, takes 2 hours. Return to Tjentište in half an hour. Lunch at the Komlen restaurant not far from the Monument Battles on Sutjeska or in the restaurant of the Mladost hotel.
After lunch, transfer to Mokra Gora, arrival in the evening, check in. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Tara national park hike and Drina river kayak
The queen among the mountains!
Breakfast and check out. 1h transfer to Mitrovac, hike tour to lookout Banjska rock 1h with stunning view over the Drina canyon and Perucac lake. 30 min transfer to Drina river valley for relaxed easy kayaking tour 2.5h.
This lightweight low key adventure surrounded with breathtaking mountainous landscapes will take you back to the times when the Drina river used to be a wild, unpredictable mountain river, yet untamed by the Perucac lake.
Lunch time in the restaurant near the famous House on the rock. Transfer back to Belgrade, arrival in the evening. Hotel check in.
Day 7. Bye bye Balkans!
Breakfast in hotel and airport transfer according to the flight schedule. End of the program.
